“So now you know.”
Caitlyn Jenner has taken another major step in her transition. The former Olympian reveals in her upcoming memoir, ‘The Secrets of My Life’, that she underwent gender reassignment surgery in January.
The 67-year-old author and reality star reportedly came clean so fans will stop asking about her nether regions. Jenner writes: “The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful, but liberated. I am telling you because I believe in candor. So all of you can stop staring. You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.”
The ‘I Am Cait’ star first announced she was transgender during an interview with Diane Sawyer in April 2015. Later that year, Jenner underwent breast augmentation and facial feminization surgery, but chose not to undergo full gender reassignment at that time.
Now, she will be speaking to Sawyer again, for a special edition of ’20/20′ on Friday, April 20. ‘Caitlyn Jenner: The Secrets of My Life’ will be published on April 25 in the USA and April 27 in the UK.
