It’s getting hot in here.
McDonald’s is spicing things up. The fast food giant is now testing a Sriracha Big Mac in 126 restaurants in the Columbus, Ohio area.
In addition, the burger chain is offering a Sriracha Mac dipping sauce, which can be used for fries, McNuggets or whatever else customers want to dip into the popular condiment. McDonald’s had tested the hot sauce earlier this year at stores in Southern California and Seattle.
And that’s not all. In order to keep customers interested, the chain has been experimenting with its menu by creating bigger and smaller versions of the beloved Big Mac. McDonald’s announced that the Grand Mac and the Mac Jr will be available for a few weeks in early 2017.
According to a spokesperson for the company, the new Sriracha Big Mac is a “milestone for McDonald’s”, because it’s the first time the chain has swapped out the ingredients in the sandwich for a new flavor profile.

Columbus, Ohio represents “a hotbed of innovation” for the company. McDonald’s has tested different sized Big Macs, Mac & Cheese, and All Day Breakfast Happy Meals there in the past.
