Well, this costume definitely TRUMPS them all.
It’s the holiday season, and presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have inspired people to go all out. From Trumpkins to the epic ‘Trump Hair’ costume, it’s safe to say this year’s Halloween is scarier than others.
Gage DeVader – of Wichita, Kansas – took part in the festivities by wearing a golf umbrella that his mom, Jessica, transformed into the Republican nominee’s head of hair. The 10-year-old’s costume also featured the “Make America Great Again” hat, made from three sheets of poster board.
And yes, the boy’s shirt “pays homage to Trump’s orange face”, according to DeVader. She explains that she created the hilarious look by covering the umbrella in muslin, and then arranged fake grass table skirts around it to resemble the 70-year-old’s signature combover.
The proud mom adds that Gage loves dressing up for Halloween. She says: “I would say our fun with Halloween began from the start. I just wanted my son to learn to embrace his uniqueness and individuality. Every year we come up with a ridiculous idea and he just goes for it!”
Before the ‘Trump Hair’, there were Zoltar, Sharknado and Jareth the Goblin King, from ‘Labyrinth’. DeVader concludes: “He’s such a fun kid with a great personality. I want to inspire him to think outside the box.”
