This Mom’s Attempt To Surprise Her Daughter At College Went Hilariously Wrong

Meet McKenna Pilling.

The 18-year-old student from New York was moving out of her dorm room at Utah State University last week, and her mom, Deanna, decided to surprise her with a visit. Unfortunately, things didn’t go exactly as planned.

McKenna’s mom traveled from New York and showed up early on Friday to help her daughter move out of college for the summer, but she didn’t realize she entered the wrong dorm room. The teen said: “No one was in there so she laid down for five minutes in the wrong bed and decided to send me a picture as a surprise.”

Deanna took a selfie and sent it to her daughter to announce her surprise visit, but McKenna quickly informed her mom that she was in her own dorm. She ran out of the room to find her daughter, and McKenna tweeted her mom’s hilarious text, which has been retweeted more than 16,000 times since May 6.

The teen said: “My intention was only for family and friends to see, hence the caption, ‘Momma Pilling at it again,’ because the people I know know her as ‘Momma Pilling’. But once it got bigger and bigger we just couldn’t stop laughing because it was so unexpected.”
